Cat Pastes and Supplements
The products on this page don't replace your cat's main food; they are pastes and supplements given in addition to it. They break down by need as follows:
- Hairballs (malt paste): GimCat Malt Soft Extra, GimCat Anti-Hairball Duo Paste, Mattcat Anti Hairball Paste. Helps cats that shed or have long hair pass swallowed hair.
- Vitamin support: GimCat Multivitamin and Multi-Vitamin Duo Paste (cheese, tuna).
- Kittens: GimCat Kitten vitamin paste.
- Skin and coat: GimCat Derma Paste and the biotin beauty paste.
- Special support: Gastrointestinal (digestion), UT Balance (urinary tract), Relax and Energy pastes.
Things to Keep in Mind
A healthy cat eating a complete and balanced food usually doesn't need extra vitamins. Give pastes in the daily amount shown on the package. Signs such as vomiting, loss of appetite or straining to urinate shouldn't be brushed off with a supplement; in these cases, see your veterinarian first.
If hairballs are a frequent problem, regular brushing is at least as important as paste. Feeding tips for sterilized cats: how to feed a sterilized cat (in Turkish).
