Product details

GimCat Malt Soft Extra is a malt paste used to help the hair cats swallow while grooming pass out in the stools. Its soft texture and malt taste make it easy for cats to accept. It comes in a 100 g tube.

Composition and nutritional values

Malt extracts make up 39% of the formula; 4% psyllium husk, 2% elm bark and 1.5% cellulose provide fiber. Yeast with 1% beta-glucans is also in the formula. The paste contains 37.5% fat, 3.5% protein and 2.5% crude fiber. The manufacturer states that the product supports the passing of hairballs and gastrointestinal health.

How to use

You can let your cat lick the paste from the tube or put it on the paw. Follow the daily amount on the packaging; regular use is recommended in spring and autumn, when shedding is heaviest.

Which cats should have malt paste?

Long-haired cats, heavy shedders and cats that often bring up hairballs benefit most from malt paste. It can also be used for short-haired cats during shedding periods.

Is malt paste given every day?

When switching to a new food, mix the foods over 7 days, gradually reducing the amount of the old food and increasing the amount of the new food.
