Food Finder
Hundreds of foods on the shelf, and every bag claims to be the best. But the right food depends on your pet, not the label: species, age, weight, spay/neuter status, sensitivities and your budget. The Food Finder quiz asks about these in 7 questions and builds a personalized list from what's actually in stock.
How does the quiz work?
- 7 quick questions: species → name → life stage → weight → spay/neuter → sensitivities (protein allergies, grain-free preference) → budget. Takes less than a minute.
- Matched on real product data: picks are based on each product's life stage, food type, protein source and nutritional data — not marketing copy. If you select an allergy, products with unverified ingredients are left out, just to be safe.
- Your personal list: in-stock foods that suit your pet, with a recommended bag size and how long it will last.
Your answers are also saved to your Pet Profile: you'll see a "how long this bag lasts" badge on product pages, matching foods flagged in collections, and a "Buy again" reminder before the food runs out.
7 questions, 1 minute — no account needed.
Feeding basics, quiz or not
- Match the life stage: kitten/puppy, adult and senior formulas are made for different needs; "all life stages" foods are convenient but rarely ideal.
- If spayed or neutered, consider a sterilized formula — lower calorie, with urinary health support. Read our detailed guide.
- Portion matters as much as the food: find the right daily amount with our portion calculator guides: cat · dog.
- Switch foods gradually over 7–10 days — sudden changes are the most common cause of digestive issues.
Frequently asked questions
Is the quiz free? Do I need an account?
Yes, it's completely free and no account is needed. Your answers are stored in your browser; if you log in, your profile is also saved to your account and synced across your devices.
What are the picks based on?
Each product's life stage, food type (dry/wet), protein source, nutritional needs and breed size. There's no sponsored ranking, and only in-stock products are recommended.
Is it reliable for pets with allergies?
Products containing the protein you select are filtered out, and products with unverified ingredient data are treated as risky and left off the list. For diagnosed allergies, we still recommend choosing food together with your vet.
I have more than one pet. Can I use it for all of them?
Yes — create a separate profile for each pet. A pet selector appears in the results, and the picks update for the profile you choose.
