Royal Canin Mini Light Weight Care is a complete and balanced dry food for adult and senior small breed dogs weighing 1–10 kg, over 10 months old, that tend to gain weight. It contains 30% protein, 11% fat and 8.6% crude fiber; dehydrated poultry protein is first on the ingredient list. Available at Petidi in a 3 kg bag.

Why Royal Canin Mini Light Weight Care?

  • Less fat: The fat content is 11%, compared with 16% in Royal Canin Mini Adult. Royal Canin states that the low fat content helps limit weight gain.
  • Muscle mass: Contains 30% protein; Royal Canin states that the high protein content helps maintain muscle mass while calorie intake is reduced.
  • Feeling full: Royal Canin states that a balanced combination of soluble and insoluble fibers helps increase the feeling of fullness.
  • Joints: Contains fish oil (a source of EPA and DHA) and sources of glucosamine and chondroitin; Royal Canin states that omega-3 fatty acids support healthy joint movement.
  • L-carnitine: 200 mg of L-carnitine per kilogram is added; L-carnitine plays a role in fat metabolism.

Ingredients: Dehydrated poultry protein, corn, vegetable fibers, barley, rice, vegetable protein isolate*, corn gluten, hydrolyzed animal proteins, animal fats, beet pulp, corn flour, powdered cellulose, fish oil, psyllium husks and seeds, yeasts and parts thereof, minerals, soy oil, fatty acid salt, fructo-oligosaccharides, borage oil, hydrolyzed crustaceans (source of glucosamine), marigold extract (source of lutein), hydrolyzed cartilage (source of chondroitin). *L.I.P.: protein selected for its very high digestibility, according to Royal Canin.

The amount depends on your dog's age, activity and weight; weigh it regularly and adjust. Royal Canin recommends using kibble set aside from the daily ration as rewards instead of treats.
