N&D Prime Grain-Free Wild Boar and Apple Adult Cat Food is a dry food with wild boar and apple from Farmina's grain-free Prime range, made for adult cats. It is one of the options for those looking for a protein source different from the usual chicken and fish recipes. Available in 1.5 kg, 5 kg and 10 kg bags.
Ingredients: Wild boar (25%), dried wild boar protein (23%), sweet potato, boneless chicken, dried chicken protein, chicken fat, dried egg, herring, dried herring protein, fish oil (herring), pea fiber, dried carrot, alfalfa, inulin, fructo-oligosaccharides, yeast extract (source of manno-oligosaccharides), dried apple (0.5%), dried pomegranate, dried sweet orange, dried spinach, psyllium husks and seeds (0.3%), dried blueberry, sodium chloride, dried brewer's yeast, turmeric (0.2%), aloe vera extract.
Analytical constituents: Protein 44%, fat 20%, crude fiber 1.8%, crude ash 8.7%, moisture 8%. Metabolizable energy 4,197 kcal/kg.
The main protein source is wild boar (25% fresh meat, 23% dried wild boar protein); the recipe also contains chicken, egg and herring. Carbohydrate comes from sweet potato instead of grains; dried apple, pomegranate, orange, spinach and blueberry complete the formula. The food contains 44% crude protein, 20% crude fat and 1.8% crude fiber; its metabolizable energy is 4,197 kcal/kg. It is supplemented with taurine and L-carnitine.
Work out the daily portion from the table on the back of the bag according to your cat's weight and activity. Switch to the new food over 7–10 days, mixing it in gradually with the old food; make sure fresh water is always available. You can find the recommended amounts per kilo in our article (in Turkish) how many grams of food a cat should eat a day.
Because the recipe also contains chicken and chicken fat alongside wild boar, it may not be the right choice for cats sensitive to chicken. Always check the ingredient list and consult your vet if needed.
This recipe is an energy-dense adult formula. For sterilized cats, measure the portion carefully or have a look at the range's products made specifically for sterilized cats: N&D cat food.
When switching to a new food, mix the foods over 7 days, gradually reducing the amount of the old food and increasing the amount of the new food.
