Royal Canin Mini Starter Mother & Babydog is a complete and balanced dry food made for small breed mothers (adult weight 1–10 kg) in late pregnancy and while nursing, and for weaning puppies up to 2 months old. Dehydrated poultry protein is the first ingredient on the list; protein is 30% and fat 22%. The kibble can be soaked in water to make a mash. Petidi offers a 4 kg bag.
Ingredients: Dehydrated poultry protein, rice, animal fats, wheat gluten*, corn, beet pulp, hydrolyzed animal proteins, minerals, soy oil, fish oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, hydrolyzed yeast (source of mannan-oligosaccharides and beta-glucans) (0.30%), algal oil Schizochytrium sp. (source of DHA), salt of butyric acid, marigold meal (source of lutein). *L.I.P.: protein selected for its very high digestibility, according to Royal Canin.

Royal Canin recommends reducing the dry food when mixing with Starter Mousse: for example, for a 5 kg mother in week 8 of pregnancy, half a can of Starter Mousse + 89 g dry food.
For example, a 5 kg mother in week 8 of pregnancy eats about 114 g a day; at that amount a 4 kg bag lasts about 35 days. During nursing the food is offered freely, so consumption goes up. The amount varies with the dog's weight, activity and number of puppies; watch her weight and adjust. Fresh water should always be available. Switch the mother to the new food gradually over 7 days, mixing it with the old food. For the puppies you can soak the kibble in water and serve it as a mash. For amounts by weight (in Turkish): How many grams of food should a dog eat a day?
